Khosro Sayeh Isfahani is a researcher at the Strategic Litigation Project at the Atlantic Council, leading on open-source research of human rights and international law violations committed by individuals within and linked to the Islamic Republic of Iran. 

Prior to joining the Atlantic Council, Isfahani was the Oak Institute human rights fellow at Colby College as well as a journalist for BBC Monitoring, and prior to that a journalist at Finance Tribune in Tehran.

A regular contributor to the Atlantic Council’s IranSource, Isfahani’s work has been published by various media outlets, including BBC World, BBC Monitoring, Slate, and Financial Tribune, in addition to reports for rights groups like Article 19 and contributions to United Nation’s reporting on Iran.

His work includes articles on social movements in Iran and state violence against protestors and persecution of ethnic, religious, and LGBTQI+ minorities, along with analysis on the Islamic Republic of Iran’s regional ambitions and military activity, nuclear program, and domestic, security, and foreign policy.
