Arvid Bell is a 2024 Millennium fellow and the chief executive officer of the Negotiation Task Force (NTF), an advisory and research and development group that specializes in negotiation strategy in crisis environments. Under his leadership, the NTF has expanded into research and commercial operations across three continents. Bell has worked with corporate executives, political leaders, and special forces operators across the United States, Europe, and geopolitical hotspots including Afghanistan, Central Asia, and the Middle East. An expert in negotiation systems design, Bell has launched a new generation of immersive crisis simulations used globally to prepare decision makers in government, military, and the private sector for high-risk situations. Previously, he served as a lecturer on government at Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences, where he was awarded the Certificate of Teaching Excellence. Bell holds a dual degree from Free University of Berlin and Sciences Po Paris, a master’s in public policy from Harvard Kennedy School, and a Doctor of Philosophy from Goethe University Frankfurt in Germany.
