Jeanette Quick a is a 2024 Millennium fellow and was appointed by the Biden administration to be deputy assistant secretary of financial institutions policy at the US Treasury. Prior this role, she was deputy commissioner for investor protection at the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation, a position to which she was appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom. Quick was previously head of compliance and public policy at Gusto and senior counsel to the US Senate Banking Committee. Additionally, Quick is an Obama USA leader, Eisenhower fellow, United States-Spain Council young leader, and Marshall memorial fellow. Her work advocating for underserved communities has appeared in many publications, including the Baltimore Sun, Fast Company, MSN, Morning Consult, Forbes, Business Insider, the Hill, and American Banker. Quick received her BA in economics and philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
