Ana Arriagada is an assistant director for Latin America at the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab (DFRLab). Prior to joining the DFRLab, Arriagada was a Chilean journalist with more than twenty years of experience in digital media. She was part of the 2021 cohort of media leaders from the Executive Program in News Innovation and Leadership at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York, navigating the intersection of product, editorial, business, and technology. 

As a journalist, Arriagada co-founded El Soberano, a Chilean newsroom that covers stories on social rights and the environment with a focus on human rights and gender equity. Before that, she led the digital media department of Chilevision, an open TV channel property of Warner Media. She also worked as technology, mobile, and social media editor at Terra Networks Chile, developing platforms and creating editorial and commercial products. 

Since 2013, Arriagada has been an ambassador for Chicas Poderosas, a global community that ignites change by inspiring and developing women and LGBTQIA+ people in media by creating opportunities for all voices to be heard. She also teaches digital media at the Journalism School of Universidad Diego Portales in Chile. There, she helps students to develop digital projects, learn about trends and the digital market, adopt new skills, and apply digital tools to help their communities.
