Mrugank Bhusari is assistant director at the Atlantic Council’s GeoEconomics Center. He conducts research and convenings focused on multilateral institutions, emerging markets, and the international role of the dollar. He also manages the Center’s Bretton Woods 2.0 Project and the Dollar Dominance Monitor.
Bhusari’s commentary on these issues has appeared in US and international outlets including CNN, Washington Post, Foreign Policy, Munich Security Conference, Investopedia, and the Congressional Research Service.
Prior to joining the Atlantic Council, Bhusari worked in the President’s Office at the International Rescue Committee. He also conducted research at the Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies and served as a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago Economics Department.
Mrugank holds a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University in Quantitative Economics and International Relations, graduating with summa cum laude honors. He is also an alum of United World College (UWC). He was raised in Mumbai, India.
