An attempted pogrom in southern Russia’s Republic of Dagestan has sent shock waves around the world and raised serious questions about the rising tide of antisemitism in Putin’s Russia, writes Joshua Stein.

Neither Israel nor Hezbollah appears to want an escalation, but the risks are high for a disastrous miscalculation. 

The danger posed by domestic violent extremists is considerable. The United States needs a nationwide, community-grounded initiative to address this threat.
