Jasneet (Jas) Hora is a 2024 Millennium fellow and serves as the deputy director of speechwriting for the vice president of the United States, where he writes regularly on issues ranging from climate change and reproductive justice to economic opportunity and voting rights. Prior to his current role, he worked as a speechwriter and special advisor to the US secretary of state, where he helped roll out new State Department bureaus and offices related to cybersecurity and emerging tech, global health security, and China policy. Born in India, Hora grew up in Walnut Creek, California, and holds a bachelor’s degree in political economy from the University of California, Berkeley and a master’s degree in public administration from Columbia University.
